Payment and Insurance
I do not accept insurance directly.
This means I am considered an “out-of-network” provider. While I do not bill insurance companies on your behalf, I’m happy to provide a superbill—an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. It’s important to note that not all plans reimburse for out-of-network services, so please check with your insurance provider for details about your coverage.
My hourly rate is $250 per 50-minute session.
Payment is due at the time of each session and can be made by credit or debit card.
Why I choose not to work directly with insurance:
Working outside of insurance allows me to offer care that is:
-
Private – Insurance companies often require a diagnosis and access to your records. By not billing insurance, your information stays strictly between us.
-
Flexible – We can work on your goals without being limited to what’s considered “medically necessary” by an insurance company.
-
Client-centered – You’re in charge of your care, not a third-party reviewer.
This choice is about protecting your confidentiality and giving us the freedom to tailor therapy to your unique needs—not a box to check for a billing code.
If cost is a concern, I occasionally offer a limited number of need-based financial scholarships. Feel free to inquire about availability during your consultation.
