Right Now Is Still Here
You don’t have to wait for freedom to arrive — it’s already here, waiting for you to notice it.Right now is the perfect time to act.
If you feel like you lost that moment, that’s okay. Right now is that same moment you think already slipped away — the one that somehow still exists in the space between what just happened and what’s about to happen. It’s easy to lose track of right now. If it isn’t the weight of parenting, it’s the expectations from your job. If not that, it’s the discipline demanded by your spiritual life. Somewhere in all of that, you forget there’s still a “you” underneath it all — waiting to be seen, to be still, to be here.
But now is exactly when that moment can return. The one where you pause, even for a breath, to recognize that you’re searching for answers. That you’re here, reading this, wanting to be free.
Are you fully in this moment, or are your thoughts already wandering — to bills, to people who’ve upset you, to what might go wrong next? Let those thoughts drift by. Bring yourself back. Right now is where life actually happens.
Why That Matters
So much of what traps us isn’t the problem itself — it’s what we think the problem means. We worry about how things might go, what someone might say, or how failure might feel. We imagine an outcome, and then we start reacting to that imaginary future as if it’s already real.
We tell ourselves stories:
“If I reach out for help, they’ll think I’m beyond saving.”
“If I try again, I’ll just quit like last time.”
“If I stop seeking reassurance, I’ll lose the person I love.”
But none of those are certainties — they’re just fears rehearsed in advance. It’s like staring into a fogged mirror and thinking the fog is your reflection. The truth is, the mirror hasn’t changed. You’ve just forgotten to clear it.
When we dare to wipe that mirror clean — to look honestly at ourselves in this exact moment — we remember that we’re not trapped by circumstance. We’re trapped by perception. And perception can change.
There’s always a way forward. You don’t have to wait for someone else to give you permission to take it. All you have to do… is return to right now.
